I amh Weston was unable to otter them employment Dave Kelly, a spokesman lor l-aiilb W eston said in a phone inter view from his Portland office that everyone is evaluated individually and that information contained in personnel files on work histories and qualifications is among the’ informu lion used in the tiles Kelly denied allegations that Iaimh Weston discriminated against the former employees lor any reason itK liutmg union acliv its work related injuries, or grievances tiled against (jo u r met Kelly continued that he knew of no pattern or policy that would be used to exclude someone from cmplov merit at I-units Weston He also said he knew nothing about a torni letter sent to those not rehired Kelly said the same hiring prac lices and policies were used at the lioardnun plant that ire used at the company s tive other processing plants Ihe former employees complain ed to officials that thev were denied access to their personnel files and work histories those who sent the company certified letters requesting their Tiled did receive them, but some allege th e ir file s were incomplete H rp p n rr.
