Neal "D oc" Warner last Saturday in Heppner She proposed that thte cattail he named the official stale flower on her entry in a contest to name the official state plant Benjamin Clark of Helix won the contest to name the state animal with his suggestion of the coyote Contest chairman and Eastern Oregon Slate Senator Don Cole said that Jenny's entry was selected because the cattail grows throughout the eight county regiun of the state, is hardly in nature, spreads itself over the country side, and provides both food and habitat In addition to the flag.
