The selection committee from the Carden Club, chaired by Irene Swanson, unanimous ly agreed that the Bells' yard should be the first to have the sign planted on its street side. Ing shrubs and rockery-type flowers. Both Elvyn and Patti Bell are employed fulltime by the Kinzua Corporation. He has worked with the mill for 22 years and she has worked with the corporation for 18 years. They are the parents of two adult sons who have not really lived in Heppner. Their older son is a Portland State University graduate and the other son is from Western Oregon State College at Mon mouth. Everyone who sees the landscaping done by this energetic, artistic couple will be very pleased to view how they have transformed a raw hillside into a yard of such delightful beauty in less than six years. Charlie Rawlins wins triple tourney honors Charlie Rawlins of Heppner, who is employed by the Bend Country Club during summer months, was the first triple winner in the Pendleton Coun try Club tournament two weeks ago. Rawlins has played colleg iate golf several years for the Western Kentucky University. He began his golf career in Heppner and is currently the Oregon left-hand champion. Al Nistad and John Shaw also placed well at the tournament. through July 30. Some courses are workshops or seminars and run a shorter length of time. Students wishing to register in person may come to the Admissions Office in Morrow Hall to complete the process. Tuition for students from Umatilla and Morrow counties is $13 per credit hour.
