Best sheaf of any grass CLASS C - HAY Sweepstakes Ribbon Hay entry shall be approximately 10 lbs., or 4 to 6 in. bale slice. Full bales will be accepted. Legume hay 7. Sheaf of hay MORROW COUNTY ALFALFA HAY EXHIBIT An exhibit will consist of 3 bales produced current year in Morrow County. Growers must submit core samples, taken from exhibit, prior to fair. Samples will be analyzed to determine crude protein and moisture. All exhibitors will be reimbursed for testing fee if hay is exhibited at the fair. Hay will become the property of the Fair Committee and sold to cover testing costs. The OSU forage testing service will be the official testing laboratory. Each grower will receive a copy of the analysis. Exhibit will be judged on the basis of 50 percent on analysis results and 50 percent on general appearance of exhibit, as determined by USDA hay grading standards. The judge is permitted to open one bale.
