The- boys varsity defeat ed the Runners, 48-39. The Curds out-scored the Rangers by one in the first qiuirler 9-8, The Rangers took the lend in the second quarter ok they outscored the Cards by 3. The score at the half was 23 25 wilh the Rangers on top. The Cards came out after the half to score 19 third quarter points and lake a 42-35 lend over the Rangers, The last quarter was low scoring s the Cards had 6 points and Dufur Rot 4. The Cards look a 48 :t9 victory aver the Rangers. The Cards were oul-relmund-ed by 2, 33 35. Mark Patton had 9 boards for the Cards. The Cardinals shot 21 of 58 for 36 percent from the field and B of 14 for 411 percent from the line. The first quarter ended as a tie between Wahtonka and Heppner, wilh a total of 13 points apiece. The second quarter slowed down a little as the Fillies tightened up their defense and led this quarter wilh 4 field goals and 3 free throw shots. The Eagles, left a little behind, scored 3 hoops. The Grizzlies outscored the Cardinals by one in the last quarter, but the final score showed lone with a 44-33 victory over the Grizzlies, The Cards outrebounded Helix by 7. 33-26. In fourth quarter action, the Wahtonka Eagles made a small comeback, but not big enough to stop the Fillies from their gallop. The Eagles topped the Fillies in this quarter with 6 buckets and 3 free throw shots for a total of 15. The win was the fifth in a row at home for the Mustangs, and pushed their season's record to 6-4. Fifteen of Orr's 24 points came in the first half, as Heppner led 21-5 after one quarter and 39 20 at halftime. The Cards were outscored badly in the third quarter as they only scored 5 points.
