The Mustangs rolled to a 41-27 halftime lead and led by as many as 18 points in the fourth quarter, coasting to a win. Mike Currin scored 17 points. Greg Connor, 14, and Jeff Orr 10 to lead Heppner. Jay Hayes tallied 9 points for the Mustangs, Marty Britt, 8, Andy Samples, 7, Hairy Groshens.4. and Shane Laugh lin. 1. Connor grabbed 11 rebounds and Orr eight as Heppner owned the backboards. 44-26. Heppner shot .483 from the field (28-for-58) and .560 from the foul line (14-for-25) for the game. The Mustangs' shooting was fantastic ns they missed only nine foul shots out of 32 for 69 percent from the line. The Tigers took charge of the first quarter with a small lead, with 7 field goals and one free throw shot for 15 for the quarter. The Mustangs were close hehind with S baskets and one foul shot for 13. As hnlftime approached, the Mustancs out-scored their opponents and were able to claim the second quarter by one point. The Blue-Devils took a first quarter lend. 2-4. Condon starter Meg Greiner was injured in the first quarter and didn't see any action the rest of the game. In the second quarter the Blue-Devils advanced their lead to 7-lfi at the half.
