Jones, and Liz Curtis were Portland business visitors last week where the ladies attended the Oregon Fairs Convention at the Thunderbird Inn in Jant zen Beach. The purpose of the meeting was to review the legislature's actions concern ing fairs, compare premium books, discuss admissions and be entertained with various talent agencies, who have talents to let for county fairs. As in all things, talent group finances have gone up in price which makes them more expensive for the local fairs. Admission prices go from $1.50 daily to 3.00 daily and many have a pass price for all the days of the fair. An interesting session inclu ded the discussion on the valuation of the fairs, the right to appeal for higher rating, etc ; which fairs are allowed to do. MERRY CHRISTMAS These meetings are interest ing as well as instructive for the delegates able to attend.
