Gayle Darby, Riverside Golf and Country Club, team ed with Marge Bernard of Gresham Golf Club to fire the top score in the two woman, best ball action. Lu Westphal-BIanche Logan of The Dalles were second, followed by Condon's Dorothy Close-Bonnie Leisi; Sue Rine-hart-Norma Wright of The Dalles; Willow Run's Patsy Ilansell-Florence Hulden; and Eileen Daniels-Sherrv Thomp son, Willow Run. Willow Run's Emma Dicken took first in the putting competition and Blanche Lo gan of The Dalles was second. (G-T Photo) Charlie Rawlins, the ace of Willow Creek Country Club, scored his first ace on the par three, 13th, on October 10. Rawlins, the low handi capper at the course, aced the fourth hole on the back nine, a hole that is made tricky by a sloping green. Rawlins' shot went over Willow Creek and onto the small, bumpy green, rolled uphill and into the waiting cup. He finished the day at 69, tied with Dave Harrison.
