Charlie Rawlins, the ace of
Willow Creek Country Club,
scored his first ace on the par
three, 13th, on October 10.
Rawlins, the low handi
capper at the course, aced the
fourth hole on the back nine, a
hole that is made tricky by a
sloping green. Rawlins' shot
went over Willow Creek and
onto the small, bumpy green,
rolled uphill and into the
waiting cup.
He finished the day at 69,
tied with Dave Harrison.

when Heppner invaded Uma
tilla. Dennis Peck ran 70 yards to
score in the first period but it
was called back on a question
able clipping call.
But after that, the two
teams were deadlocked in
scoreless football
Umatilla took the first try
from the ten yard line on the
Kansas tie breaker plan. A
fumble was jarred loose and
Peck scooped it up and raced
90 yards to put the Mustangs
in front.
Peck had 96 yards on ten
carries but had 120 yards in
runs called back because of
penalities. Heppner played inside the
Vik 20 yard line three times in
the first half and the Mustang
defense didn't let Umatilla
penetrate pt the 40.
Cited for defensive efforts
were Steve Marlatt, Chris
Riddle and Scott Groshens.

again on a 40 yard jaunt,
followed by a 45 yard run to
pay dirt by Leslie Thompson.
