Mary Taffy of New Orleans, was also visiting her mother and her sister, Mrs. Breeding. On July 17-18 there was a family reunion of the Burnside family held at Bull Prairie. There were 71 relatives who gathered for the occasion, many with campers and tents. Among those who came from a distance was Mrs. Breed ing's cousin and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Steagall of North Illinois. Others came from Albany, Lebanon, Kinzua, Portland, Gresham, Heppner, Irrigon and Pendleton. Mrs. Breeding, her daugh ter Mrs. Floyd Smith and granddaughter, Mrs. Loyd Humphrey, took Mrs. Taffy to Pendleton where she took a Public 'The Morrow County Plan ning Commission will meet Monday. Women of Assembly of God Churches from this area met at the Stanfield A of G on Thursday, 11 a.m. for a Women's Ministries for Christ Rally. Mrs. Edward Weyrick who will be going to Kenya, East Africa, with her husband and two children later this month, was the guest speaker. A salad luncheon was ser ved at the Stanfield Grange Hall. After the luncheon Mrs. Anita Klemin, Oregon District President of Womens Mini stries for Christ, of Salem showed colored slides of the home mission works in Ala ska, She and her husband traveled north in May of this year. Margaret Thomas of Hermiston is the local W.M.C. representative who planned Notice for Portland General Electric, for a Conditional Use Permit in an Industrial Zone. Pro posed use is surface mining. Location Is T 4 X. R 23 E. Sec. 14. the SE U. at Six Mile Canyon, and above the high water line of the Columbia River. Interested persons are in vited to attend the hearings and express their views. Columbia View Fellowship, a newly formed church group, represented by Vernon Stew art, requested a conditional use permit in a farm residen tial zone for construction of a Babies To Mr. and Mrs. Norman Botts, Heppner, a son, Aaron Matthew, 7 lbs., 13 oz., torn August 7, 1976. He joins a brother, Nathan, at home. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Truman Messenger Jr., Hermiston, and Mr. and Mrs. Obituary Debbie L. McDaniel, 69, died in Pendleton, Sunday, August 15. She was born August 17, 1906, at Hardman, daughter of William and Maude Burkhau ser Leach, pioneer Hardman residents. She was married to Sam McDaniel on October 27, 1924, in Heppner. Services were held Tuesday, August 17, at 2 p.m., at the First Christian Church, Hepp ner, with the Rev. Edwin Sikes officiating. Sacred selections, "Beyond the Sunset" and "Good Night and Good Morning" were sung by Carl and Betty Marquardt, accompanied by Kathryn Ho skins at the piano. Casket bearers were Ivan McDaniel, Cecil McDaniel, Robert Stevens. Scott McDan i' ... 1 -., church building. A hearing has been set on the matter at 7:30 p.m., Aug. 23 at the Irrigon City Hall on the highway at Ordnance Road. 72 relatives gathered at the Robert Botts, Hermiston. Great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Truman Messenger Sr., Lexington. Great-great grandmother is Mrs. Elmer Messenger, Kent, WA. iel, Delvin McDaniel and Dallis McDaniel. Concluding services and interment were at Heppner Masonic Cemetery with Swe eney Mortuary in charge of arragements. Five generations of the Anniversary set Llewellyn and Darlene Rob bins, Grass Valley, will hold their 25th wedding anniver sary, Aug. 27 at their home. The reception will start at 7 p.m. and run till 9 p.m. at the $500 reward The Columbia Basin Electric Coop.
