This year the Journalism stu dents were asked, without any previous warning what TB or "respiratory disease" meant to them. Their Issue shows their re search Into the Ve topics for competition: 1. Youth in the Fight Against Tuberculosis. 2. How Students can Work f r rloiin air. healthier lungs. 3. Youth Against the Clearctte Habit. 4. Youth Fights Disease by fighting poverty. 5. Students Look Ahead to Health Careers. With each they have drawn a cigarette talking with such re marks as "Just because smoke pollutes the air doesn't mean that smoking will pollute your body". Last year Pendleton Senior High School won the highest national award. L'kiah High School was awarded a "State Honorable Mention Certificate" for their Pine Whisper's TV edition. Mr. end Mrs. Walter Edger were called to Pendleton last Friday by the serious illness of her brother, Milton Spurlock was at one time a resident of Morrow County. Chris and Mark Brown are home for the holidays with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brown.
