This year the Journalism stu
dents were asked, without any
previous warning what TB or
"respiratory disease" meant to
them.

With each they have drawn a
cigarette talking with such re
marks as "Just because smoke
pollutes the air doesn't mean
that smoking will pollute your

were called to Pendleton last
Friday by the serious illness of
her brother, Milton Spurlock
was at one time a resident of
Morrow County.

He reported that the Docken
Company is loading an ocean
going barge with alfalfa cubes
which were manufactured at
Boardman. Judge Jones added
this was probably a first in
Morrow County with an ocean
going vessel and there were to
be some 4,000 tons In the ship
ment. The Judge said a number of
road signs were damaged and
many others stolen, represent
ing both a loss and inconven
ience to people. Rewards for in
formation leading to arrest and
conviction in cases of vandal
ism, cattle rustling and such
things aie available from the
cabin owners association, the
Cattlemen's Association and
from the County.
Chris and Mark Brown are
home for the holidays with their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul
Brown. Chris is employed in
Corvallis after uraduatinc from
Oregon State in June when he
became 2nd Lt. tn the uuil.
He expects to leave for Fort Ben-
ning, Ga. in February.
Mark, a senior at the Uni
versity of Oregon is majoring
in Political Science.

Christmas holidays.
