This she demonstrated Saturday night. I never did get the hang of it but you clap your hands in this certain rhythm, then smack the aesK, men your thighs, then stamp your feet and then one ciap on eacn end with a "whee". it was tun too, seeing again Claudia and Gayle Coe, cousins from Milton-Freewater who are now Mrs. Merlin Hughes and Mrs. Allen Hughes. Their headniprw were fashioned of white flowers and illusion veiline. Each a long strand of white pearls, gifts of the bride. They carried long stemmed white carnations with white satin bows and streamers. Thev wore above thp eiDow lengtn white gloves and pumps. Mother of the bride wore a blue crepe fitted dress with matching coat of lace and white accessories. Mother of the bride groom wore a pink creDe dress. mink stole, and white accessor ies. Their corsages were of white carnations and rosebuds. Best man was AlC Rick Ra. Ran. Ushers were A1H PiVharH MacStay and Sgt. Bill Pelesky, all of Condon Air Force Base. There wore tuxedos with white jackets matching the bride grooms. Dresided at the tea servie: Mis Rarrv Sherwood, grandmother of the' bride, was at the punch bowl. Ihe tea table was centered with a five candle silver candpl- abra with pink candles. White lilly of the vallev and nink rosebuds were floral decora tions. Card tables with white satin covers centered with nink candles and lily of the valley were set about the room. Mary Helen Wehrli was in charge of the guest book. Mrs. Steven Hunkapillar, Pendleton and Mrs. Dennis O'Donnell, Heppner, were in charge of the gift table. Attractive whei baes made bv Marv Hplrn and Bernadine Wehrli were passed to the guests. Going A way For her going away outfit the bride chose a bright nurnlp- fit. ted wool dress with Ion? sleeves She wore a white ermine type cloth -fur coat and matching pill hat box, the pink rosebud cor sage from her bridal bouquet and wnite accessories. Guests attended the wedding from Reynoldsburg, Ohio; Port land, Silverton, Salem, Coquille, Condon, Fossil, La Grande and Pendleton as well as the immed iate area. Her own chapter, Ruth Chapter No. 32 was the host chapter. The Worthy Grand Matron and Patron Introduced the past Grand Matrons and Patrons who attended. Mrs. Wilkinson intro duced the "Grand family" which is the current Grand officers. Honor guests also included two officers from the Grand Chapter of Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Wlpper of Victoria Chapter No. 76 of Turn er were given honorary member ships. Mr. Wipper is the Grand Sentinel of Oregon. speaiung Derore xne group were the Worthy Grand Matron and Patron, Mrs. Wilkinson, Florence Yeager of Condon who spoke as a Past Worthy Grand Matron. Heppner Garden Club Dates Workshop Heppner Garden club members made plans for a Christmas Greens Workshop at their Mon day night meeting. It will be held at their December 8 meet ing at 8 p.m. in the basement of the Methodist Church. The Rev. Edwin Cutting will demon strate the making of door swags, center pieces and other Christ mas decorating ideas. Mr. Cut ting formerly operated a green house and created these arrange ments professionally. Greenery will be provided. Members and anyone else In terested in the workshop may bring containers or candles or other bits of Christmas to in corporate into their own creations. AddnIa Giiren The Rainbow Girls save two addenda in Mrs. Wilkinson's honor. In one they danced the "Virginia Reel" which was called by Theresa Wright, worthy ad visor for Rainbow and they pre sented a candle light ceremony. The Choralettes from lone sang, accompanied by Darrell James, lone bund director. The Conduc tress' Club performed a drill. Ruth Chapter presented an ad dendum and presented Virginia with a miniature wooden ranch wagon. It's cargo was a box con taining a charm commemorat ing the date of the reception. Mrs. Jack Sumner was hostess chairman for the social houi which closed the evening. Prior to the reception 150 were served dinner at the Elks Club with Mrs. Matt Hughes as din ner chairman. In a joint venture the Rainbow Girls assisted by the Officers Club of the Eastern Star served breakfast the next morning. This was a coming and going affair with a delicious menu which included pancakes, scram bled eggs, ham, apple sauce and home made syrup. Diana Raymond Has Birthday Party Diana Raymond, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Raymond, celebrated her 14th birthday Saturday afternoon In her home. Games and refreshments were served. Those in attendance were Wendy Phegley, Tony Toll, her Bisters Donna, Susan, Jenn ifer and 2 brothers, Phillip and James. Plan Bottle Drive Rainbow Girls will have a pop bottle drive Saturday.
