charge of the guest book. Mrs.
Steven Hunkapillar, Pendleton
and Mrs. Dennis O'Donnell,
Heppner, were in charge of the
gift table. Attractive whei
baes made bv Marv Hplrn and
Bernadine Wehrli were passed
to the guests.
Going A way
For her going away outfit the
bride chose a bright nurnlp- fit.
ted wool dress with Ion? sleeves
She wore a white ermine type
cloth -fur coat and matching pill
hat box, the pink rosebud cor
sage from her bridal bouquet
and wnite accessories.
Guests attended the wedding
from Reynoldsburg, Ohio; Port
land, Silverton, Salem, Coquille,
Condon, Fossil, La Grande and
Pendleton as well as the immed
iate area.
The new Mrs. Jurcich is a
1967 graduate of Heppner Higli
School and attended Pacific Uni
versity and Blue Mountain

The Worthy Grand Matron and
Patron Introduced the past
Grand Matrons and Patrons who
attended. Mrs. Wilkinson intro
duced the "Grand family" which
is the current Grand officers.
Honor guests also included two
officers from the Grand Chapter
of Washington.

Heppner Garden Club
Dates Workshop
Heppner Garden club members
made plans for a Christmas
Greens Workshop at their Mon
day night meeting. It will be
held at their December 8 meet
ing at 8 p.m. in the basement
of the Methodist Church. The
Rev. Edwin Cutting will demon
strate the making of door swags,
center pieces and other Christ
mas decorating ideas. Mr. Cut
ting formerly operated a green
house and created these arrange
ments professionally. Greenery
will be provided.
Members and anyone else In
terested in the workshop may
bring containers or candles or
other bits of Christmas to in
corporate into their own creations.

The Rainbow Girls save two
addenda in Mrs. Wilkinson's
honor. In one they danced the
"Virginia Reel" which was called
by Theresa Wright, worthy ad
visor for Rainbow and they pre
sented a candle light ceremony.
The Choralettes from lone sang,
accompanied by Darrell James,
lone bund director. The Conduc
tress' Club performed a drill.
Ruth Chapter presented an ad
dendum and presented Virginia
with a miniature wooden ranch
wagon. It's cargo was a box con
taining a charm commemorat
ing the date of the reception.
Mrs. Jack Sumner was hostess
chairman for the social houi
which closed the evening.
Prior to the reception 150 were
served dinner at the Elks Club
with Mrs. Matt Hughes as din
ner chairman.
In a joint venture the Rainbow
Girls assisted by the Officers
Club of the Eastern Star served
breakfast the next morning.
This was a coming and going
affair with a delicious menu
which included pancakes, scram
bled eggs, ham, apple sauce and
home made syrup.

Diana Raymond, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Raymond,
celebrated her 14th birthday
Saturday afternoon In her home.
Games and refreshments were
served. Those in attendance
were Wendy Phegley, Tony Toll,
