Donald McElligott, Chairman Alice Vance, Clerk 20-21c Department Calls For Project Bids Oregon State's Highway Com mission has issued a call for bids on construction of five structures on the Stanfield Junction-Pendleton section of the Old Oregon Trail (I -SON), aDout 17 miles west of Pendle ton. Project plans call for widen ing the existing bridge over the Umatilla River and constructing a new bridge over the Umatilla River for the other two lanes of the freeway, plus the construe tion of three small bridges for the ditch rider road. Grading and paving are already under contract. Completion time of the project is 360 calendar days. Sewing Club Meets Appreciates Gifts The last meeting of the Super Stitchers 4-H club was called to order by Cathy Crum. Min utes were read by Kathleen Mc Elligott, secretary. We made plans for our next meeting which we decided to have at our club house. Our club wishes to thank those who have given things to our club house and also we would like to thank the lone United Church of Christ for the table and benches.
