Vl Christmas Theme Used At Grange Home Ec Meet MiLADIES' APPAREL ALICE and GRACE By MARY LEE MARLOW BOARDMAN The annual Mys tery Sister Christmas party was heid last week at the grange hall with members of the Home Economics club of Greenfield Grange hosting the Ladies Aid Society of Community church. In charge were Mrs. Bernard Don ovan, Mrs. Arthur Allen, Mrs. Leonard Bedord and Mrs. Cecil Hamilton. Mystery Sisters were revealed with gift exchange and new names were drawn for next year. Mrs. Zearl Gillespie and Mrs. Rollini Bishop were in charge. The clean-up committee was Mrs. Claud Worden and Mrs. N. G. Seehafer. Franell Walker, Riverside high school student, read the Christ mas story, and the Riverside High school band under the lead ership of Al Reeves, presented the Christmas story in music, using selections from Handel's "Messiah" and Christmas carols. Fortner and Bob Thorn hill, low by Sid Ferguson and Mrs. Peter Matz, and the pin ochle prizes went to Mrs. Na than Thorpe and A. R. Fortner The next party will be hek December 2 7at 8 p.m. Greenfield Grange met at the hall last week with Mrs. Bernarc Donovan as hostess, starting will potluck supper at 6:30 p.m. The charter was draped ii memory of our late president John F. Kennedy. Boardman Community church Sunday evening, December 22, at 7:30. Parents and friends are invited. School will be dismissed De cember 20 for the holidays, and will reconvene January 2. Mr. and Mrs. John W. Ander son of Condon were Sunday vis itors at the home of their son- in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Sledge. Mrs. Frank Marlow has been confined to her home the past ten days with a severe case of the flu. The rest of the evening was spent playing bingo. Mrs. Russell Miller was hos tess for the Home Extension unit at her home last week with Mrs. Don Downey as co-hostess. Subject was "Wise choice of home furnishings," with Mrs. Dewey West and Mrs. Ronald Black as leaders. Mrs. H. M. Walker, vice-chair man, was in charge of the meet- mig. The resignation of Mrs. n,an Briggs, chairman, was accepted, with new one to be elected later. The training class for "Ad ventures in salad making," orig inally scheduled to be held in Irrieon. is to be held here in Anril at the home of Mrs. Walker, Announcement was made that $11.75 was made on the cooked food sale.
