Have you ever tried adding to the prepared cake mixes? I have on several occasions. I had about two cups of applesauce left over from a meal and decided to add it to a snice cake mix for an impro vised applesauce cake. Well, no spice cake, so I used a chocolate malt mix, added a dash of soda, and a pinch of cloves, ginger, anrl nutmez. (Didn't have any cinnamon!) Anyhow, I mixed it with two eggs and baked for 35 minutes in a 9x13 cake pan in a 350 degree oven. Turned out very moist and tasty and gone in one meal! Use a cake mix and your imagination for sur prising results. How about an idea from you? Visiting the Fred Gimbels last week was Mrs. Gimbel's father, Cecil Letts, Los Angeles.
