Both wore Identical ballerina length orchid dresses with matching shix's and net headresses. All hree attendants carried urn rclla shaped bouquets of lav ender carnations. Vickl Ekstmm of La Grande was flower girl. Mie wore an rchid dress with matching net headress and she carried a bas ct of lavender and white car ations. John llealy of Heppner was ringbearer. Best man was Charles Simp son of La Grande. Ushers were Bob Woodside of Maupln and orry Taal of La Grande. Miss Marguerite Glavey was organist, with Bill Kenny as sol- 1st. Both are from Heppner. The altar was beautifully banked with baskets of pink and lavender Glads. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Emert chose a beige sheath dress with bone white and tan accessories. The groom's mother wore a flowered dress of pink and lavender with a white hat and lavender shoes. Both wore orchid corsages. Grandmother of the bride wore a teal blue dress with pink rose bud corsage. Grand aunt, Mrs. Margaret Scott, Oakland, wore a green and tan suit with brown accessories and pink rose bud corsage. The reception, which followed In the parish hall, was conduc ted by the Heppner Altar Society. After the bride and groom cut the first piece of the four-tier cake, it was then served by Mrs. Phil Emert, lone, and Mrs. Lee Pettyjohn, Arlington, both aunts of the bride. Duvall Relations Here For Visit Mrs. Harry Duvall motored to Goldendale, Wti.. Sunday and Joined a group of 25 relatives at Booth Memorial State ram. Returning home with her for a two-day visit were her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Lon Gibson, Fort Collins, Colo.; Oness Gibson, Yakima, Wn.; Mrs. Myrtle Albro, San Bernardino. Calif., brothers and sister of the senior Mr. Gib son who lost his life with eight of his family In a car accident south of Las Vegas, Nev., at the beginning of the July 4th holi days. Also coming home with Mrs. Duvall was her sister, Miss Lenna Waid of Stanfield, who returned home Monday. . On Tuesday afternoon, Mrs. Duvall took the Gibsons to Mit chell where they met their nephew, Cloy Gibson of Red mond. They went home with him for a visit and Mrs. Duvall returned to Heppner that even ing. Mark Labhart Invites Friends For Birthday Mark Labhart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Labhart, entertained three boys for dessert at his home Friday evening in honor of his tenth birthday. The boys completed their even ing of fun with a movie at the theater. Mark's guests were . Mike Smith, Larry Pettyjohn, Kevan and Kent Pratt, although Kevan was unable to attend because of the mumps. Ncill enter talned the Juetts at lunch also on Tuesday noon before the afternoon and evening reception. Princesses Are Guests At Chief Joseph Days ION E Mr. and Mrs. John Eubanks took their daughter. Sandra, and Marlene Fetsch. both redeo princesses, to Joseph on Friday for the Chief Joseph Days celebration. They remained through Saturday for the parade in which the entire Heppner court participated. Mrs. Eubanks reported that approximately 100 girls of royalty were on hand lor the affair. All girls and relatives attended a luncheon on Saturday following the parade, and all were guests at the Saturda afternoon show, in which each and everyone was Individually Introduced. These girls represen ted royal courts from all over the west. Sandra competed Friday and Saturday In the barrel race, but did not place. Her horse that she ordinarily rides In these events Is suffering a slight limp. It necessitated her using a horse less experienced. Sandra Harshman At FHA Meeting The executive council of the Oregon Association of the Future Homemakers of America began a five-day meeting at Delake Mon day, according to Miss Bertha Kohlhagen, director of Home Ec onomics in the State Department of Education. The nine member council in cludes Sandra Harshman, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Lverett Harshman, P. O. Box 335 of Heppner. Sandra is state parlia mentarian of the Future Home makers of America. The council, headed by Mary Virginia Speckhart, of La Grande high school, will formulate plans for the 17th annual state meet ing of FHA to be held at Oregon State University next spring. A special state and district of ficers' workshop will be held at the high school at Taft August 3 to plan for district meetings to be held this fall. Wagner and family drove to Portland where they at tended the Saturday session of the Seventh-day Adventist camp meeting. He flew his plane back following the 100 hour checkup. Mrs. Wagner brought the family home Sunday. Mrs. Robert Snow and children have returned from attending the 10 day Seventh-Day Adven tist annual camp meeting in Portland. While there Mrs. Snow took her daughter Carla, 4, to the Oregon Medical School each day for a one hour treatment. Carla is a victim of cerebral palsy.
