Not ices NOTICE BEi ADA JANE LISTtt To Whom It May Cunmn: We have wen lh above pat ient cm June H and again on the 2U of ih imr month regard Ins the qucktlun tf her mental competency. A pyc h o m e 1 r I c study ha been made also and nn elet trocnccphalogram. The latter Han interpreted by our Consulting Neurologist from Portland. Doctor Conrad Carter All thU pertains to the after effect of a car accident ah sua la ned March 23. 1961. In the accident a he.td on collision wti suffered, the husband driving their car. She suffered laceration! of the Kcalp. fractured rlba and a fracture of the right forearm. A concussion-contusion, cereb ral, apparently also had occurred because she was unconscious, out of contact for 8 daya and nights. On reondlng and being In con - t. ct It was found her speech was involved as in a partial a-shasla of spoken word type. Tbis Improved but her speech r main wl Indistinct and slurring. This Improved some to date. She has had no headache, weakness of any part of the body, etc. Mrs. Srednlk's psychometric stu dies fall to reveal any organic brain disease or thinking dis order. The electroencephalogram as reported by Doctor Conrad Carter on June 6, 1961, showed a normal electroencephalogram with only a predisposition to drowsiness. Patient has a distinct slurring of the speech yet and perhaps speech Is reduced In fluency and speed. There Is no disturbance of the mood. She is quite happy in her current marital situation wherein she was married one month after the accident. She has a reasonably accurate knowledge of her assets and lia bilities financially speaking. Not being psychotic and not showing any organic defect in her mentation; and being quite happy with her new marital sit ur.tion; and having a reasonable accurate knowledge of her assets apparently, we have no choice in general but to go along with the psychologist In her findings and enccphalographer and his tracings to the effect she Is men tally competent, knows the dif ference between right and wrong and can conduct In a reasonably normal way her business affairs.
