Why Olympia is brewed only at Tumwater Sine 1896, light Olympia Beer has been brewed at the little town of Tumwater, near Olympia, in Washington State. For it is here that Olympiad famed brewing water was discovered flowing cold and pure from deep artesian wells. At various times in the past, Olympia founding family established other breweries along the Pacific Coast Identical equipment and method were employed. The same premium quality hops and grains were used. The best water supply available in each region was utilized. Yet, at none of these other locations was it possible to brew a beer of the character and quality which the name Olympia had come to represent Without the one priceless ingredient the naturally perfect brewing water-Olympia's refreshing flavor could not be duplicated elsewhere. This is why Olympia Beer is brewed only at Tumwater-and why Olympia s good taste remains refreshingly different yet always just the same. the one priceless ingredient "It's the Water P I'M.,!-. ......... r mm VtiiAi Water' A k, "mm . After .a short business meeting, our program chairman, Randall Peterson, in troduced his guest, L L Robbins, who has inherited a rock saw and tumbler and is interested In learning to use them. What fun there is in store for him once that rock is set In place and the saw blade begins cutting through It, then is the time when excitement mounts high In an ticipation of what that first cut will reveal; and after the first cut comes the second and third- each just as exciting as the pre vious one and maybe more so! Oh the beauty that is hidden in the rocks just waiting for us to find It. The saw exposes this beauty and the polisher magni fies it. And now to tell you something of the beautiful collection that Mr Baltrlnus has. Can you imag ine finding the colors of the rain bow in a highly polished black glasseous rock? Well, that's ex actly what you saw when you looked at a piece of his rainbow obsidian. There were beautiful shades of blue, turquoise, brown, red and green in the highly pol ished slabs and cubes of agatized wood that have been obtained from various parts of the coun try. There was a piece of smoky agate about six Inches across that was simply covered with hundreds of minute clear quartz crystals that gave the appear ance of snow as one looked down on them. How the crystals glis tened and sparkled as the piece was held in the light. But to make the piece more interesting, beautiful, and unusual were the clusters of slightly larger am ethyst crystals that had formed in groups right in the midst of these small clear quartz crystals. The beauty of the combination of lavendar and snow white in the crystal world can never be expressed in words. It would take pages to describe the other speci mens there one must see to be lieve and we were surely glad for the opportunity to visit there. The program finished with re freshments and the film, "Glass and You." On May 16 at 8:00 p m we will meet at the ranch home of Mr and Mrs Harold Evans. 1 r Pllow to get the BEST SEED BUY k tviry man who I tvar plantad B laads know! this: Thart'l alwayt vnv lata mix mar i dvit tor mi land.
