Girls' intramurals in volleyball were played for the first time Tuesday with the Morris team versus Brinda's team. Miscellaneous Items P. E. classes for Friday have been dedicated to dancing with 7th grade boys and girls partici pating. For the next 18 weeks health will be alternated with P- E. classes. Seventh grade boys have chosen "know your body" as their first topic of study. Various body sys tems will be reported on by cer- tain groups. , Mr. Mallon's 7th grade has hpnn studying the Roman em pire in social studies. A. meeting was held November 13 at which time it was decided to send Mary Stewart as a delegate to the "planning" meeting at Corvallis. Her alter nate is Frances Slocum. President Jim Morris is plan ning to run for state vice presi dent of F. B convention in Corvallis. Jim announced the chamber of commerce was willing to let the local chapter put the Christmas decorations up again this year. It was voted to have an even ing meeting November 28. A large group of local teacners attended the county O. E. Mexican Pepper 114 cuna ffi-ouncfl Dackaee) packaged pre-cooked rice teaspoon salt lVa cups boiling water 6 green peppers 9 totilosnnnns butter 3 eggs, slightly beaten Vs cups drained canned whole kernel corn 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese 1 tablespoon grated onion 1 teaspoons salt Dash of pepper 3 tomatoes, sliced Melted butter Add rice and V teaspoon salt to boiling water in saucepan. Mix just to moisten all rice. Cover and remove from heat. Let stand 13 minutes. . , . , ,, Cut peppers in half lengthwise and remove seeds. Cook the pep pers in boiling salted water 5 minutes, or until tender. Dram. Place peppers, cut side up, in baking dish. Sprinkle lightly with salt. Combine the rice, butter, eggs, corn, cheese, onion, VA teaspoons salt, and the pepper. Mix well. Fill pepper halves with rice mixture and top each with a slice of tomato and brush with melted butter. Bake in moderate oven (350F.) 35 minutes, or until filling is firm. Makes 5 servings.
