A car driven by Grace Mc Cabe and a truck driven by Gor don White had a collision on an intersection on Main street last week. The car was damaged but no one was injured. Donald Eubanks returned home last week from Pacific Uni versity where he attended the summer session. Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick Martin and children were dinner guests at the William Rawlins home on Sunday. Jim and Harry Swart are visit ing their sister, Mrs. James An derson, in California. Mrs. Ander son has been ill. Rev. and Mrs. Charles Wilkes were Seattle visitors last week. They also took some boys to the Nazarene church camp at Pine na this week and take her i low. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Chick of Portland were visitors at the Roy Lindstrom home one day last week. They were on their way home from a trip to California. The Nazarene church will hold a Bible school August 13 through 17 with two sessions each day 9 to 11:30 a. m. and 12:30 to 2:30 p. m. This will be held at the Community church. Dwight Haugen of Portland spent the weekend here. Mrs. Haugen and daughters who have been visiting relatives here for a week returned home with him. The Crawford family held a reunion at Hat Rock Sunday and enjoyed a picnic dinner and boating in Milton Morgan's boat. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Wate Crawford, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Morgan and children, Mr. J and Mrs. ueimer crawiora ana daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Crawford and son, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Crawford, Mrs. Ida Cole man, Bruce Rigby and Rollo Crawford all of lone; Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Crawford Jr. and daughters of Portland; Mrs. Ver nice Crawford and children and Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Crawford of Helix; Mr., and Mrs. Tad Miller and children of Lexington; Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Crawford and daughter of Echo and Jerry Healy of Heppner. Mrs. Rov Lindstrom gave a party in honor of her sister, Mrs Dwight Haugen of Portland at her home Friday afternoon July 27. Bridge and pinochle were played. Those winning prizes were in bridge, Mrs. Robert DeSpain, high and Mrs. Robert Jepsen, low. In pinochle, Mrs. Arthur Stefani Jr., high and Mrs. Pete Cannon low. Mrs. Haugen was presented with a guest prize. Others present were Mrs. Ernest McCabe, Mrs. Roland Bergstrom, Mrs. Delmer Crawford and Judy Howton. Mr. and Mrs. John Skuzeskl and sons of Portland spent last week with her father, Henry Pet erson and other relatives. Miss Sue Neeling of Beaverton was a guest of Miss Dorothy Dob- yns last week. They are class mates at Pacific University. Weekend guests at the E. M Baker home were Ron -Barendse of Hubbard and Miss Carolyn Moeller and Miss Mary Ison of Portland, and Jeanette and Seron Osibov of Colton. The Osibov children are spending a week with the Bakers. They all en joyed a picnic and boating at Hat Rock Sunday.
