A very pretty wedding was solemnized, Thursday, Oct. 15, at high noon, when Miss lone M. Giesy of this city was united in marriage to Mr. Elliott Brett, of Los Angeles, California. The wedding occured at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Gitsy, ltev. Moshel of Woodburn, officiating. The house was beautifully de corated with autumn leaves and carnations. Mr. Wesley Yodcr played the wedding march and Gertrude; sister of the bride, re ceived the guests. About twenty invited guests were present to witness the cer emony and partake of the wed ding supper which followed. The bride wa3 beautifully gowned in silk mesilene and net. and carried a boquet of white chrysanthemums. They were the recipients of many beautiful and costly pres ents. Mr. and Mrs. Brett left on a wedding trip through Southern California, after which they will make their home at Los Angeles. Eight months from now on the first day of June, 1909, the gates of the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific ex position at Seattle will be thrown open to the public. For four months and a half the first great Pacific World's Fair will receive visitors from all parts of the globe. If the vicitor come on the last day, or in August, or on the opening day, he or she will find things the came. The train is arraared a follows: 1st car will bo devoted entirely to grains and grasses. 2nd car will be devoted entire ly i horticulture, with demon--.'rations giveit in budding, graft ing, spraying and fruit packing, 5rd car will bo for dairying, I- r.: mslrating the working of i miiK lOoterc ana cream separa tors. 1th car will be etiuipped with model stalls and carry cows from the college farm, and demonstra tions given in milking by ma chinery. 5th car will be a large day coach. Cth car will be a large sleeper. 7th car will be a business car. Lectures and demonstrations will be given in six cars and go ing on all the time the train i3 at the station.
