PACK X SHERMAN COUNTY JOURNAL. MORO, OREGON Sam Brocks Have 50th Anniversary FRIDAY. JUNE 18, 1951 county’s pioneer families. They live about 11 miles west of Wasco near what is called Emigrant Springs. And are still on the farm, active in their farm work and in all ocmmunity doings they both are willing to do their share. - This years graduates of the Wasco high school were Milton Zell, DeWayne Roe, Sharon Laughnn, Carol Briggs, Barbara Buck, Lois Ann Everett and Joan Fridley. Also graduating the same evening wer? eighth grad ers Merry Drinkard, Duke Ma- eheel, Carl Swett, Gene Fridleyt Charles Mathews and Merly n Berg. Of the seniors Sharon, Car ol, Barbara and Lois Ann and eighth graders Merry and Gene attended all of their school years in Wasco. Barbara Buck was val edictorian qnd Sharon salutator- ian. On the program were solos by Sharon and DeWayne. Speak er was Dr. Miller of the Oregon College of Education at La Grande. A reception was held at the Rugus grange hall Sunday, June 6, in honor of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Brock. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Medler Mr. Brock’s twin sisters, Mrs. John G. Medler of Portland and and children were dinner guests Mrs. Jake Brock of Cooks, Wn„ Sunday of Mrs. Medler’s mother, served the first hour. Mrs. Arthur Mrs. Bee Macnab in The Dalles.
