The observance of Sunday closing will be an innovation for Gilliam county and Condon. The movement has been favored by a majority of the business men of the county for some time but on account of the busy season during harvest, it was thought best to wait Now that the edict has gone forth for the Sunday closing of all places of business. except those exempted by the law, no hardships will be brought to bear upon anyone in particular. Many other counties in this state, that are now and have been for many months under this ban, are satisfied with the results of the enforcement of the Sunday ob servance laws.
