Mrs. Ira Luna is again very ill and baa been removed to the borne of her mother, Mrs. MoFLeren, for treat ment. Mrs. Luna has long teen suffer ing from lung trouble. Ira E. Hopkins of Weston, is quite ill. His near relatives from the moun tain distriot are with him and his son, Dr. Miles Hopkins, of North Yakima, Wash., has been seut for. . . E. church. They expect a large party of their friends over to hear the noted evangelist daring the course of the meetings. ! Mignonette Rebekah lodge met Tues day evening and elected three dele gates to grand lodge which convenes in Salem on May 19. The ladies who were chosen to represent the local lodge were: Mrs. Lola Payne and Mrs. S. F. Sharp of Atbena and Mrs. E. L. Bar nett of Portland. The Bank of Milton, wbioh was in corporated in 1889 as a private bank has applied to the comptroller of the tieasury at Washington for a charter and will soon be converted into a na tional bank to be known as the First National Bank of Milton, with a cap ital of .$50,000. Information has been filed against Aaron Ridge, charged with horsesteal ing. Young Ridge stole a horse from Charles Hamilton, traded it foi an other, wbioh he left at a livery stable in this city and skipped for Walla Walla, where he was arrested. He has sinoe been in jail at Pendleton. The petition for voting on the local option law by county rote at the com ing election contains 900 names and has been filed with the county clerk. Owing to the fact that the petition contained names of voters who had failed to register, they were cut out and thennmbet rednoed to 802. Some small boys about town have tbe foolish habit of running out and trying to jump on the backs of auto mobiles when they, are not in too swift motion, which may oause a se rious accident unless it is stopped.
