Brotherton, who was very ill with
pneumonia for several days, is one of
great improvement, and her recovery

wife has been in attendance upon her
little sister, Eva Wilson, who is ill at
her home here.
Mrs. Ira Luna is again very ill and
baa been removed to the borne of her
mother, Mrs. MoFLeren, for treat
ment. Mrs. Luna has long teen suffer
ing from lung trouble.
Ira E. Hopkins of Weston, is quite
ill. His near relatives from the moun
tain distriot are with him and his son,
Dr. Miles Hopkins, of North Yakima,

Mignonette Rebekah lodge met Tues
day evening and elected three dele
gates to grand lodge which convenes
in Salem on May 19. The ladies who
were chosen to represent the local lodge
were: Mrs. Lola Payne and Mrs. S. F.

The Bank of Milton, wbioh was in
corporated in 1889 as a private bank
has applied to the comptroller of the
tieasury at Washington for a charter
and will soon be converted into a na
tional bank to be known as the First
National Bank of Milton, with a cap
ital of .$50,000.
