Tbe Forest Service has recommended tbat tbe number of cattle and horses allowed to graze upon tbe Blue Moun tains (W) National Forest in tbe State of Oregon, daring tbe season 1008, be increased from 16.000 to 17,900 head and tbe number of sheep from 150.000 to 152,500 bead. Young Todd Reported Drowned. The high stage of water has prevented successful search for the body. Sheep Have Meningitis. G. Z. lakes, one of tbe pioneer Pa louse farmers, baa recently lost several sbeep by what Dr. Hadley, the state college veterinary snrgeon, calls spinal menipgitis.
