If stored In the clean-washed, moist air of the modern Ice refrigerator will keep fresh and sweet until you sre ready to bake the shortcake. STRAWBEHltV SHORT CAKE: Mix and sift together 2 cups general purpose flour, 3 tea spoons baking powder, 2 tablespoons sugar, % lenspoon salt. Cut In ft cup shortening. Store In air-conditioned Ice refrigerator. When reaily to bake, remove mix from refrigerator and add 1 beaten egg and approximately «4 cup milk. Blend lightly. Place half of dough In a greased cake tin. Brush with butter and cover with second part of dough. Bake In a hot oven (400*) 18 to 20 minutes. While hot, split shortcake and apread generously with softened butter and crushed strawberries. Top with strawberries; serve with whipped cream. This Offer Withdrawn June 30
