Sawyer of Kerby was a business visitor in Grants Pass, last Friday. --- 0—• Mrs. Jerry O’Rielly of Klamath Falls, was in Cave Junction, over the week end, visiting friends. —o— Martelle Maurer was a guest of Miss Bertha M. Caid over the week end. —o— Herman Luethye went to Grants Pass, the first of the week and re turned home last week end. --- 0--- Mrs. A. G. Jackson and Mrs. Ethel E. Pickett of Klamuth Falls, spent the week end in face City. Mr and Mrs. Earl Boyd left the first of the week for Portland, and expect to return the last of the week. —o— Mr. anil Mrs. A. W. Diemart, arrived last Monday evening from Seattle, and expect to locate here in some business. —o— Mr. and Mrs. Otis Maxwell and Q. A. Woodcock, all of Lakeview, spent the week end at the home of Mrs. E. Lewis of Holland. Mrs. Robert Balzke, , Mrs. Wil- liam A. Brown, Mrs. Fred Gai- eno and Mrs. Janet Thompson wer«1 sight seeing i in Giants Pass, Wednesday. —o— Mr. and Mrs. H. II. Powell ex pect to arrive here this week from Eagle Point. Mr. Powell is super vising mechanic at Oregon Caves CCC camp. —o— James E. Franklin is clearing his place just north of Kerby. He was looking for a place to settle for years and decided the Illinois valley was the idea) location —o--- Kenneth Carson was in Cave Junction last week end and re turned to Gold Beach last Sunday morning, where lie is employed foi another, two or three weeks. —o— Mrs. W. T. Sherman left last week for Los Angeles, where M1. Sherman will follow shortly, and they will remain there for the win ter. —o— O.V. Breese, of Grants Pass, au thor of the Breese Tax Redustion Plan, is the guest speaker at the Grange tonight (Thursday) in their regular meeting in the hall at Bridgeview. New families in the community are Mr. and Mrs. H. .1, Ticknor and are living at Grayback forest ranger's residence. Mr. Ticknor is project superintendent at the Ore gon Caves ('('(’ camp —o— E. M. Kamph of Smith River, California, was in Cave City, Wed nesday, in connection with the shipment of cattle from the val ley to Crescent City, from there to be shipped by boat to San Fran cisco —o--- Mrs. Mary E. Seat returned to her home in Elsinore. California, after visiting her two sons, J. (). and O. L.
