"with strength and ease they al-woys please" TWO HORSE OVERALLS MAOC Y LEVI STRAUSS & CO. mm Local Irrigating Device Numerous whispered rumors and much speculation was caused the lat ter part of last week to to just what was the business of the renters of room number 211 Conklln build ing, this city. It was generally con ceded that the parties occupying the said apartments were Interested In Irrigation some stories intimating that they were the representatives on the quiet of the Golden Drift Mining company, etc. etc. A repre sentative of 'The Courier had an in terview with the gentlemeu Satur day and learned that they were Messrs. Norman R. Smith and F. Becker, members of the Hydro Pat ent Power company,' of rortland, a company owning certain patents on an irrigation device, a model of which was on display in their of fice. The gentlemen, who were very pleasant to meet, had no statement to give out as to their device or their plans. They said they were not here to advertise their patents, but were planning to install a plaut on some 40-acre tract as a matter of demonstration. mat when they foutfd a party who wished a plant in stalled they would put one In and give him all the water he wanted on his land this summer. Mr. Smith said he was not here to lu any way antagonize the district irrigation proposition or any other project that might be under way. The hydro-pneumatic elevator an.l current power transmitter, a3 the combined device is called, ha3 been installed on the bnake river as well as on the Columbia by thi company Later a 100-gallon per minute ma chine arrived and will be Installed on the Huff place, just below the old power plant, to demonstrate its feas ibility as an Irrigation device. ANY WOMAN CAN HAVE BEAUTIFUL UAJR Mtuy women do not realize the at tractions they possess because they do not give proper attention to the hair. The women of Paris are famed for their beauty, not because their facial features are superior to those of other women, but because they konw how to keep young by supplying vig or, luster and strength to the hair. Three years ago Parisian Sage could hardly be obtained In America. But now this delightful hair tonic and dressing can be had In 'every town In America. C. H. Demaray sells it for 50 cents a large bottle, and he guarantees It to grow beauti ful, luxuriant hair, to turn dull, life less hair Into lustrous hair; to stop falling hair; to stop itching of the scalp. Ask for Parisian Sage. Medford Socialists Suy MEDFORD, Mar. 13. President YV.-H. Taft. Washington, D. C.t "We, the socialists of Medford, Oregoti. can not refrain from voicing our Indignation at your acts iu be half of 'Barbarous Mexico,' and Pre sident Diaz. It Is an Insult to the common people of our country who once fought for glorious liberty. If this be treason, brand Such is the text of a telegram sent to President Taft by a commi.iee of local socialists Monday morning, fol lowing the adoption, of resolutions to that effect at a meeting held Sun day afternoon, which-was attended by socialists from all parts of Jack son county. Ihe adoption of the re solution to take such action was un animous and followed a lengthy dis cussion of the present movement of troops by the United States. PROCEEDINGS OF A. J.
