To make the brand and vi- sion more inclusive of the wide variety of events, the theater has enlisted the help of Whole Brain Creative, an Astoria public relations com- pany, and is holding focus groups and phone interviews. The historic theater is a re- gional gathering place offer- ing a variety of performing arts experiences and educa- tional programs. In the past, the theater’s marketing ef- forts have struggled to con- nect with the community. Bringing people to the the- ater has a direct economic impact in the community with patrons spending mon- ey on hotels, dining, and oth- er activities.
