We are asking for public comments on the Camp Lick Project Preliminary Environmental Assessment (PEA). The Malheur National Forest is proposing a suite of activities including silviculture and fuels treatments, evaluation of the road systems, recreation opportunities, and riparian and upland watershed restoration treatments. The planning area encompasses approximately 40,000 acres in the Upper Camp Creek, Lower Camp Creek, and Lick Creek subwatersheds, approximately 10 miles northeast of John Day, Oregon. A copy of the planning participant letter, PEA, and applicable appendixes, specialist reports, and maps, can be accessed on the Forest Service website at: https://www.fs.usda.gov/ project/?project=46219.
