PADDOCK HERE SEVERAL DAYS Services Held Twice Sunday In Masonic Hall Discusses With Guild Matter of Hulldlnjc Hall In Bend The Rev. Robert E. Paddock, of the Episcopal Church, arrived Sat urday, leaving today for the north, after conducting services and meet ings. While here he was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Lara. On Sunday morning and evening services were held at the Masonic Hall, through the courtesy of that organization. On Monday after noon a Guild meeting was held on Mrs. C. M. Itedfleld'a lawn. In the evening occurred the meeting of the boy scouts at the Lara home, reported elsewhere in this paper. Lost night, at the Hudson house, the Rishop delivered an informal talk upon his experiences in the slums of New York. There was also singing by those present. As a result of a meeting of the men's committee that is cooperating with the ladies in the matter of erecting the proposed Episcopal guild hall, it was decided to again postpone work upon the structure, the men being unanimous In the opinion that far more can be accom plished towards getting funds for a suitable building after the arrival of the railroad, when building will be loss expensive and better finan cial conditions will make more gen erous contributions easy. The com mittee was practically sure that, probably in April, the amount at present pledged by local subscribers, about $1000, could be doubled. MILL.MAN NOW S.MITIIR0CK.
