Those present were Elizabeth Hand, Edna Kern, Elsie Cunningham, Robah Robison. Lenora Hunt, Virgie Haynes and Gladys Wheeler. Committee reports were given, at which time it was reported that $3.00 was sent to Roseburg for Christmas Cheer funds. New dresses and stock ings valued at $7.75, one pieced quilt valued at $5.00, baby layette valued at $9.95, socks for veterans valued at I $2.75, and used clothing valued at $30.00 were sent to the Roseburg Child welfare center. Ruth Axtell was appointed Christ mas Cheer chairman for Coquille. The apron sale will be held at Thrift’s Grocery, Saturday, Dec. 14. P. W. Lane gave the Auxiliary a talk on Christmas seals and their value to us. Past Noble Grands The Past Noble Grands club met at the home of Mrs. W. E. Bosesrman last Friday evening. The time was spent with knitting and in singing Christmas carols. The club also had its annual Christmas exchange, ev eryone receiving a lovely gift. There were 21 members present. Mrs. Boa- serman assisted by Mrs. Grant Wil cox, served the membershot tamales, which were enjoyed by all. The club will meet with Mrs. E. M. Kay in January. Calling cards. SO for 11.00. Special guests for the evening in cluded Past Matrons and Past Pa trons of Beulah Chapter, O. E. S., a number of whom were present and escorted to the East. The Daughters voted to use a part of the proceeds from their recent mu sical comedy, ‘‘Rose Down,” to help defray the current expenses of the Masonic hall, which they use, rent free, and the greater portion of it as a nucleus toward a much needed fur nace for the hall. Installation of the new officers, to which the public is cordially fn. vited, will be held Dec. 23rd. This evening the girls are having a Christmas party at the home of Mrs. ______ Sanford, guardian of the Bethel.
