The decrease was possible because of a reduction ln the state tax of one- tenth of a mill from what the budget committee had anticipated. In taking over her duties of teacher for the Institute, Miss Dae feels that she brings to Coquille and vicinity an opportunity for the development of the study of music, which to date has not been available. Mias Dae is well qualified for the work, having studied under many of the finest teachers of music in the United States, among whom are Heinrich Hoevel, of Minneapolis; F.
