This afternoon the annua! recep tion of President Campbell was held in honor of Professor Luella day Carson, dean of women at the Uni versity of Oregon for 21 years. Pro fessor Carson was recently elected president of Mills College, the lead-, ing college for women on the Pacific Coast. She accepted the position, and the reception was in honor of her work during the last score of years at the University. This evening the faculty ot the school of music will give their clos ing annual recital. The program will be varied and excellent.
