While at the depot she laid her purse down on a bench for a moment and when sne reached her residence she missed $25 that had been In the purse. She thought that someone in the depot had taken the money while she was transacting business with the ticket agent, and told Chief of Police Farrlngton of the occurrence. She told him that a boy had helped her carry her bag gage from the depot and entered her house with her, so the chief at once suspicioned that the boy was the gulltv party Instead of someone at the depot. He went to the boy's home and questioned him, succeeding In obtaining a confession that 'he had taken So from the purse as it lay on a table in Mrs. Simons' house.
