Birthday Party Rebekahs Install Officers, Little five year old Luella Knowlton celebrated her birthday at her home in this city Saturday afternoon from two to four o’ clock, twenty little boys and girls being in attendance and each of whom remembered their little hostess with a nice present. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Knowlton parents of the little hostess provided nice refresh ments and interesting games for the little ones and a very pleasant afternoon was speut by them. Glory Ticket. A marriage license was issued Saturday to Everett L. Baxter and Miss F. Estelle Blakely, both of Eugene. Mr. Baxter is the driver of the Fall Creek stage and is quite well known in the city and along the route. Basket Ball. A lively basket ball game was played between Cottage Grove and Drain Friday evening at Drain, re sulting in a score of 17 to 9 in favor of the local team. The Drain boys put up a pretty good game, but were outclassed by the local team. Notice to Farmers. Hall, Treas urer; Mrs. Hoxie, Organist. After installation the committee on re freshments served a banquet in the dining room of the hall. There were about 100’ members present and after enjoying a social hour all went home well pleased with the evenings program. Moving Saw Mill. Lou McCoy and a small force of men have been busy some days past moving his portable sawmill from the Lee place at Divide over to the Bert McDole place, where the mill will make a run on rail road ties, which will be delivered on the railroad right-of-way at the Veatch spur, a short distance north of Divide.
