A WORD TO INVESTORS AND DOME SEEKERS ABOUT LANE Cottage Grove is destined to be come tlie greatest mining, saw milling, fruit-growing, dairying, poultry raising and diversified farming section of the beautiful Willamette valley, famous for its glorious scenery, mild winters and ideal summers. This section has attracted tlie attention of some of the most pro gressive aud enterprising fruit growers of Southern Oregon, to the extent that they have pur chased desirable tracts ai:d are plautiug apples, pears and various other revenue producing fruits, as they di«l ten to twenty years ago in Southern Oregon, prior to the present fabulous prices of land in that locality. After years of successful experi ence, they arc convinced that Southern ( >regon offers no op|»or- tunities for diversified fanning that are not equaled 1 if not ex celled 1 hi Lane County, and around Cottage Grove. The lumlieriug and mining in dustries have iu a measure ab- sorlied all other industries i.i the past few years, hence, diversified farming has been greatly neglect ed. Still the exceedingly low prices of fertile soil as compared vfith elsewhere, especially adapted to the production of these various commodities, are continually ap- jiealing to the homeseeker and of fering inducements ihat will in a very few years cause every foot of tlie most desirable and fertile soils to he occupied and producing to its full capacity, and bringing iu return just as fabulous prices as do the most famous sections of Oregon at the present time. If you are interested iu mining, lumbering, fruit growing, poultry raising, dairying or diversified farming in a general way, this locality is well worth your most careful investigation. --------------------------------- ■---------------- Hamilton Fox has changed his lioardiug place again. | Elder Hausou was a visitor at the school last Thursday A Remember the Chorus Club re cital to lie given the last of Ja n u ary.
