This week J. W . Baker of At bland, * brother of the Roseburg laundry- •fi) man spent several days in this city f making final arrangements for the f establishment of u steam laundry here. After looking over the city he decided on the I. O. O. F. build ing formerly occupied by the Pacific Timber Co’s store as about as con veniently urranged and centrally lo cated place as he could rent for the purpose and accordingly secured a lease on the building aud the resi dence adjoining for a uumber of years, in which to install the latin- drv and move his household goods. The plant will be operated by a 5 -horse power electric motor and is guaranteed to turn out first class work, at reasonable prices. Mr. Baker expects to have the plant installed and ready for opera tions by March 1st. The Leader wishes the new enterprise success.
