Lincoln Middle School Principal Jeremy Smith All Stars: In addition to recognizing our student of the month, we also commend a larger group of kids at Lincoln called All-Stars. Each month there is a theme, and staff mem- bers choose students who dem- onstrate that theme. The students get their names read on the an- nouncements, receive a certifi - cate, and also get a fun party at the end of the day. This is a way for us to show appreciation for lots of kids who are doing great things every day. Check out some pictures from our latest group, they were recognized for their kindness towards others. We have primarily been looking at one schedule, which is a version of a block schedule but allow students to have math, language arts, and PE every day. We also have another schedule to consider now. It is a 6 period day and provides more instructional time for all aca- demic classes. We will fi nalize our choice and start moving for- ward with the transition before spring break. It is taking a lot of work and cooperation among all our staff, but in the end we will have something that is great for kids, so it will be worth it.
