The County Court of Coos Oounty Or egon, will receive proposals to build a wing to the Hoffman bridge on Middle Fork of Coquille river until 2 o’clock p. m., Saturday the 20th day of August, 1904. Said wing to be constructed in the following manner, to-wit: Beginning at the East end of the pier of said bridge on the South side of said river, running in a South-Easterly direction 344 feet to an alder tree marked “ X,” near the top of bank, the piling to tie of white cedar not less than 7 inches in diameter at the small end, to be driven 8 feet apart and at least 3 feet below the river lied, the piles to lie capped on a level with pier of said bridg, witli 8x10 inch caps and planked with 2x12 inch planks, said planks to be spiked to piles with 00 d spikes in end of each plank where same rests on pile, the space be tween planks not ¿o exceed 2 inches. The wing to lie braced by piles driven near the bank on the South side of wing and 16 feet apart, a brace running from same at the ground to piling in the wing near the top of piling in wing and to be notched so that half the brace will rest against the pile and se curely spiked and all material used to l>e of good, sound merchantable timber. The contractor to furnish all material and labor necessary to lie used in the construction of said wing. All work to lie done in a good and workman-like manner and under the supervision of the County Court of Coos county, Ore gon, or one of the members thereof. Each bidder will he required to deposit with his hid five percent of the amount of Ins hid, which shall lie forfeited to the County in case the award is made to him, if he fails or refuses, for the period of two days after such award is made, to enter into contract and file his bond in the manner required by law and to the satisfaction of the County Court up on the dav appointed The County Court reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
