CDABA issuses ‘Coastal Waters’ artist challenge REEDSPORT— Coastal Douglas Arts and Business Alliance (CDABA) is invit- ing local community members from Reedsport, Gardiner, Winchester Bay and Scottsburg to submit work for their third annual artist challenge. The theme of this year challenge is “Coastal Waters.” All types of original craft and art pro- duced from any and all mediums and materials are welcome. The piece must fit through a standard door and be ready for display, including a hanging device if appropriate. Prizes to be awarded include a Viewer’s Choice of $50; Mayor’s Choice of $50; and $100 for the most original piece that best depicts the theme and includes good design and quality crafts- manship, as determined by a guest judge. Entry fee for the first piece is $10 and $5 for each additional piece thereafter. Entries are limited to three per artist. All entries must have a label securely attached in an inconspicuous location that contains the title of the work, the artist’s name, address and phone number. Entries will be accepted at the Mindpower Gallery, 451 Fir Ave., in Reedsport, Ore., 97467, on Friday, June 10, between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. To download an entry form prior to registration visit www.cityofreedsport .org.
