Siuslaw Public Library seeks new board member The Siuslaw Public Library District has a vacancy on its board of directors due to the resignation of current board member Dave Forsberg. Forsberg shared in his resig- nation letter that he “love(s) the library more than ever,” but that personal and profes- sional obligations necessitated the decision. The remaining board mem- bers and current library direc- tor Meg Spencer all extend their thanks to Forsberg for his years of service to the library district and the community. The board will interview applicants and appoint a replacement for the unexpired term of Forsberg at a regular meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 19. The person who is selected by the board as a replacement will be eligible to run for elec- tion in May 2017 at the end of Forsberg’s current term.
