Anthony at Pone's Hall last Tuesday evening, for the benefit of the M E. Church, drew a very slim attendance The subject of the lecture was 'A Trip to Hawaii, with Notes by tiie ay, and the speaker gave a very pleasant evening s entertainment, and those who failed to be present missed a choice treat. The Wilton Troupe have favored our citizens with a scries of enter tainments during the past week, and have received a liberal atronage. The plays were presented in good style, and drew got ul houses for three nights. Yates ami Mrs. Wilton favored tho audience with several ducts, which were well recieved and the singers loudly apniauvivti. " Tiik Paris Exposition. Captain Auld, master of the ship City of York, says the Bee, has kindly consented to carry, free of charge, all articles intended for exhibi tion at the Paris Ex position which mav be donated by the citizens of Portland or elsewhere. His vessel U destined for Liverpool, at which port the articles will uesalely landed, iioiiert Rogers Co a prominent firm of that city, have agreed to see tuat tne articles are iorwarded from Liverpool for Paris at the earliest lossible day after arriving there. Mrs.Borenzo Stewart, of Molalla, lias been a'llicted with a cancer under her left eye for three years past, and she informs the "Statesman" that a cure lias been effected by the "plastic method" after seventeen days' treatment.
