Father Dennis, the old patriarch in Odd Fellowship, now nearly 0 years of age, addressed the assemblage on the rise and progress ol the Order. His remarks were well-timed, sensible and appropriate and listened to with marked atten tion and respect. Tho. old white haired veteran from the Green Moan--tain State,, having been long a work er in this field, always has a good word to say for the benefit of the order.- Refreshments M-ere served, after which Brothers Chandler and and Boardman put the company in "posish" with the left foot in. The Portland liulletin is the only organ we have noticed that unhesitatingly endorses the Louisi ana outrage. The Radical papers in the East all denounce it, and from present appearances, Grant, Sheridan and the Cabinet are trying to get rid of the responsibility of the outrage ous act. But the Bulleliu is pefectly welcome to all the glory which at tends the endorsement of such usur pation. The Xew York Timis, a Radical organ, has this to say on tho subject of the proposed special mes sage by the President: In an editorial in reference to the message, the Tunes hopes it will be more creditable to himself, the Cab iuet, his party and the people of tho United States, who, if they thor oughly approved of Sheridan's course would stand disgraced before tho civilized world. A Little Tyrant. The little tyr ant, Phil. Sheridan, who has most infamously outraged the freedom of the nation I and insulted the people of Louisiana, is now engaged in sending telegrams over tho country to 'justify his disgraceful conduct. The little tyrant had better send out to Oregon and gather up his half breeds which ho left behind him. He has got above the position he was designed by nature by the fortunes of war. and his little calibre is alto gether too small for the .position he now disgraces. . . .; DIED. It is seldom that we notice anything in tho medical line, nor would we now. unless we could be convinced that we are not doing our duty as a journalist in recommending to the public the cel ebrated botanical preparation of Dr. Henry. Whoever induces the victim of scrofula or any other disease of the blood, to use Dr. Henry's Extract of Sarsparilla, has begun "a good work. There is no question as to the result of this medicine if persevered in.-- It is a sure cure for .scrofula, rheumatism, Salt Rheum, and indeed all complaints arising from vitiated or impure blood. It is just what a good physician would prescribe for these complaints, and we confidently recommend it as being the best article now in nse. Dr. Henry's Cough lialsam is the most affective remedy for affection of the throat or lungs that we have ever known. It contains no deleterious drugs, and can be taken with impunity and certainty of relief. For thecure of coughs colds, sore throat, etc., it stands without a ri val. Dr. Henry s Liniment as an alle viator of pain, is unrivaled by any preparation before the public; the most skeptical will be convinced by a single trial. Ayer's Sarsaparflla Is widely known as one of the most effectual remedies ever discovered for cleansing the sys tem and purifying the blood. It has stood the test of years, with a con stantly growing rep utation, based on its intrinsic virtues, and sustained by its re markable cures. So mild as tibe safe and beneficial to children, and yet so searching as to effectually purge out the great cor ruptions of the blood, such as the scrofulous and syphilitic contamination. Impurities, or diseases that have lurked iij the system for years, soon yield to this powerful anti dote, and disappear. Hence its wonderful cures, many of which are publicly known, of Scrofula, and all scrofulous diseases, Ulcers, Eruptions, and eruptive dis orders of the skin, Tumors, Blotches, Boils, IMmples, Tustules, Sores, St. Anthony's Fire, Hose or Erysipe las, Tetter, Salt ltheum, Scald Head, UingTTorm, and internal Ul cerations of the Uterus, Stomach, and JLiver. It also cures other com plaints to which it would not seem especi ally adapted, such as Dropsy, lyspej sia, Fits, Keuralgia, Heart Disease, Female Weakness, Debility, and Leucorrhoea, when they are manifesta tions of the scrofulous poisona It is an excellent; restorer of "health and strength in the Spring. By renewing the appetite and vigor of the digestive organs, it dissipates the depression and listless Ian guor of the season. Even where no disorder appears, people feel better, and live longer, for cleansing the blood. The system moves on with renewed vigor and a new lease of Efc. PBEPARED BY G Dr. J.
