In spite of it however woman has constantly asserted her equality if not the superiority in a quiet but insistent way. Now it appears that she is gadu ally outnumbering man in the census returns, and the Omaha Lee fearfully says: "statistics show that the male population of the civilized world is falling farther and farther be hind the female. According to the last British census the excess of women and irirls over men and lioys in Oreat Britain is about !"O0,00O, an increase in ten years of pearly 200,000.
