McElroy, superintendent of public instruction, a beautdul gold-headed cane. As Professor McElroy was sick at his residence in Salem, Prof. B. J. Oil Tank And Warelmuxe. The Stndard Oil Company have put themselves in shape to handle oil with a minimum amount of lisk in this city. They have erected a warehousj near the .southern Pacitic line on Ellsworth street, supplied with an immense tank, and yesterday inaugurated the business of supplying the stores with oil from a tank on wheels from the supply house.
