Committee on health and police in the matter of the suppression of San Wa's wash hous reported, re ferring the matter back to the council to deal with in accordance with the ordinaneein such cases. In the case of the city against two members of the Salvation Army, arrested for refusing to obey the order of the city marshal not to stop on the street, Recorder Henton rendered a decision yester day, discharging the defendants. The court held that the pro visions of the ordinance under which the arrests were made con flicted with the constitution of the state, which grants every citizen the right to worship according to the dictates of his own conscience ; also that it was not shown in the evidence that an obstruction . was created at the time the arrests were made. Multnomah Camp, No. 2, Indian War Veterans, North Pacific coast, held a special meeting on Saturday. After roll call, reading of minutes of the last meeting and some other ordinary routine business, the following reso.utions were adopted : Whereas.
